The Role As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of mechanical elements within water and wastewater treatment projects. You will work alongside process, electrical, and ICA engineers to produce high-quality design packages in line with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical design of water/wastewater projects in line with client specifications Production of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&'s) using Plant 3D Production and co-ordination of 3D models using Revit Production of general arrangement drawings, sections & elevations Production of pump calculations, equipment schedules, technical specifications Production of fabrication detail drawings for site installations Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain quotations for equipment Preparation of technical design submissions for client review Attend regular project design and site meetings.
Liaise with, process engineers, electrical engineers and ICA Engineers on projects Comply with all ISO Quality & Environmental policies and procedures, and all health and safety rules Enjoy the full life cycle of a project from initial specification to commissioning About the role
Essential Criteria :
Mechanical engineering qualification (HNC/HND or similar) 4 years' experience in a similar mechanical design role Working within a multidisciplinary design team Experience using 3D Modelling software (Revit, Inventor, Solid Works etc)
Experience of fabrication design Innovative approach to work. Desired
Experience:
Experience using AEC software such as:
Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks. Previous experience of multidiscipline projects within the Mechanical/Electrical Engineering sector of the water industry. Capable of contributing to the commercial management of M&E works including assisting with work estimates etc. Knowledge of ISO
