Civil Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor - Northern Ireland with UK Travel

A qualified Quantity Surveyor (over 4 years' experience) with drive and ambition is required to work for one of NI and the UK's leading building and civil engineering contractors.

Based in NI with travel 2‑3 days per week.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will join a busy but committed team, and initially be involved on Heavy Civils and Marine Projects.

• Identify potential overspend
• Minimise cost overruns
• Cost Valuation Reporting
• Undertake Site Visits
• Submission & Negotiation of Final Accounts
• Validating Subcontractor Applications
• Prepare Monthly Cost Reconciliation for Senior QS
• Cost reporting
• Interact with the project team to ensure maximum project procurement, production & strategies
• Ability to form and develop relationships with client, PQS, design teams, and supply chain

Degree in Quantity Surveying.

• Minimum of four year's experience in a QS/PQS role
• Hardworking & enthusiastic individual
• Excellent people skills
• Commercially aware
• Team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
