Farrans People Team is seeking to recruit a Talent Management Lead for the Learning & Development division. This role develops and leads a competence development programme across technical, professional and business management capabilities for staff at all levels, from entry to executive. It is a key enabler of Farrans business strategy and supports continued growth and success.
Responsibilities- Work in partnership with key internal stakeholders to fully understand business requirements, identify competence needs and recommend development solutions.
- Design and develop bespoke training programmes, adopting best‑in‑class approaches including digital solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to secure active contribution of technical content and subject matter expertise.
- Create engaging learning materials, including manuals, guides, multimedia aids and e‑learning modules.
- Use the Learning Management System to plan, manage and track learning & development.
- Facilitate interventions such as training sessions, workshops and webinars using techniques like role‑playing, team exercises and group discussions.
- Facilitate leadership development interventions to enhance management capacity.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and drive improvements based on feedback and performance outcomes.
- Continuously update learning content based on feedback and industry trends.
- Work with external stakeholders to develop specialist training against required standards.
- Assist in creating a Learning Environment that promotes continuous learning through a coaching framework and knowledge exchange.
- Ensure communication of training offerings is effective and accessible.
- Participate in professional networks and stay abreast of learning developments.
- Assist with accreditation of learning initiatives.
- At least four years of demonstrable experience in designing, creating, delivering and evaluating learning & development programmes, including blended learning (digital e‑learning, multimedia aids, training manuals and face‑to‑face interventions).
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align with organisational goals.
- Analytical skills to assess programme effectiveness and make data‑driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Project management and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of L&D principles, instructional design and adult learning theories.
- Technical proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e‑learning platforms.
- Soft skills:
problem solving, creativity in program design, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment. - Valid UK driving licence and access to a form of transport for business travel.
- Experience must have been gained in a dedicated OD, HR or Learning & Development function/team.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or professional certifications (e.g., CIPD).
- Experience with in the construction, engineering or related sectors.
- Recognised Coaching or Mentoring qualification.
- Current licence in Insights Discovery.
