- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Local Belfast and Northern Ireland tourism product knowledge
- Foreign language skills are desirable but not essential

We are looking for both short (summer season) and long term volunteers (year round).
Volunteers will work alongside Visit Belfast Team i.e. Visit Belfast Travel Advisors;
Cruise Coordinator;
Cruise Ship Assistants and Cruise Ship Monitors; and alongside other volunteers.
Shifts will usually take place during the summer season and the busiest times are May to September/October.
Volunteers are, where possible, expected to do a minimum of one shift per week in the summer season. All volunteers are required to attend one training / induction session.
For volunteers working shifts at the cruise hub, online training and security clearance will be required.
Uniform and other necessary resources will be provided.
Volunteer out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed. Travel by Car Limited to a 20 mile radius.
Tasks and responsibilities- Meet and greet international and domestic visitors to the Visit Belfast Welcome Centre, cruise hub, Grand Central Station, conferences and city events
- Provide a warm welcome, signposting and orientation service to visitors and support to Visit Belfast staff
- Create a positive first impression to visitors
- Provide basic visitor information about Belfast and Northern Ireland
