BBBHSenior Quantity Surveyor

MCS Group are excited to be working exclusively on a unique Quantity Surveyor opportunity with a Specialist Civils Contractor. This role offers the chance to take full control of projects, working with an enthusiastic team in a growing company across a wide range of civil projects.

We are working with a unique civils contractor based in Belfast city centre, to recruit a proactive, experienced Quantity Surveyor who can hit the ground running and contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

You will bring proven commercial and contractual expertise, with the confidence to manage provide detailed costs submissions for civils projects, track project costs, contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations independently.

Working within a collaborative project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the full commercial lifecycle of projects, from early cost planning and procurement to final account.

• Manage sub-contractor packages from appointment through to final account.
• Take ownership of cost estimation, budgeting, contracts, procurement, and cost control, including risk identification and mitigation.
• Ensure contract compliance in line with NEC3/NEC4 or JCT frameworks.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial alignment.
• Comply with all company systems and procedures, including Information Management Systems.

• Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC

• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain negotiations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as Rail, Highways, Energy or Utilities.
• Full valid driving licence.
