The Ulster Farmers’ Union is seeking to recruit a Receptionist based at our office on the Antrim Road in Belfast on a part-time permanent contract, 20 hours per week.

The pattern of work is Monday to Friday 1.00pm to 5.00pm.

The salary range for this role is £22,222 to £24,435 FTE, this equates to £12.21 to £13.43 per hour. The Ulster Farmers Union operates a salary scale which is reviewed annually.

Responsibilities
  • Answering and directing calls
  • Directing messages to staff
  • Keep reception area clean and tidy
  • Managing all post, both incoming and outgoing
  • Assist with tea/coffee making and ordering/preparing food for visitors
  • Assist members with membership related queries
  • Flexibility to cover annual leave for the morning shift on reception
  • Any other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a receptionist in a busy office environment
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade C or above, including English and Maths
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and IT systems
  • Ability to work closely in a team, patient, adaptable and work under pressure
  • Accurate and thorough skills
  • Knowledge of the agricultural industry in Northern Ireland
