Office and Accounts Administrator (Part-Time, 3 Days)
The Ulster Farmers’ Union is seeking a dependable and organised Office and Accounts Administrator to support our Corporate Services function in our headquarters on the Antrim Road in Belfast
. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts and administration experience who is looking for a flexible,
permanent part-time role.
About the role
Working closely with the Corporate Services Manager, you will handle day‑to‑day financial processing and office administration to help keep our organisation running smoothly. This includes posting and reconciling invoices, raising customer invoices, processing supplier payments, direct debit collections and assisting with payroll (training can be provided).
Key responsibilities
- Post and reconcile supplier invoices and statements.
- Raise and issue customer invoices and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Prepare and process supplier payments (including BACS and direct debits).
- Manage petty cash and employee expense claims.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate purchase and sales ledgers.
- Support the preparation of statutory filings and audits.
- Assist with monthly payroll; full training will be provided in this area.
About you
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A–C, including Maths and English.
- Experience in an office and/or accounts administration role.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook) and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisation.
- A team player with a professional, friendly manner and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Working hours and flexibility
We are flexible about how these hours are worked across Monday to Friday within normal office hours, and can agree a pattern that suits the successful candidate.
Starting pay £13.31 per hour. The Ulster Farmers Union operates a salary scale which is reviewed annually.
