Audit Senior - Belfast (visa applications welcomed)

VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded accountancy practice in Belfast, as they continue to grow their Audit team. This is a superb opportunity for an Audit Senior who enjoys variety, client exposure and working in a supportive, high-performing environment. Visa applications are welcomed.

You'll join a busy audit team delivering external audit engagements across a broad portfolio, with exposure to a strong mix of local and UK/ROI-linked clients. You will work closely with Managers and Partners, taking ownership of key areas on site and progressing towards leading smaller audits.

• Deliver audit fieldwork from planning through to completion, working to budget and deadlines
• Prepare high-quality audit files, including testing, documentation and file completion
• Draft accounts, management letters and points for discussion with clients
• Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries efficiently
• Support and coach junior team members on site, helping develop their technical and practical skills
• Contribute to continuous improvements in audit approach, systems and file quality

• Clear progression path to Supervisor/Assistant Manager, with genuine support from senior leadership
• Strong client exposure and breadth of work (not "same audit, every week")

• ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist (or equivalent)
• Strong audit experience gained within a practice environment
• Confident communicator with a professional, proactive approach to client service
• Well‑organised, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities
• Experience supporting/mentoring junior staff (desirable)
