Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN - Circulator for a 13-week travel contract in Belfast, ME, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and a Maine or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work setting is a hospital OR environment with 3 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms,

• Role is RN - Circulator,

• Patient population includes Endoscopy, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, ENT, Urology, and Ophthalmology cases,

• Patient ratio is 1:1,

• Equipment used includes Stryker, Storz, and Steris,

• EMR is Epic,

• Day shift schedule: 9-hour shifts, 4 days per week, Monday through Friday (approximately 6:45 AM - 4:15 PM),

• On-call required: rotating weekends (Friday 4:15 PM through Monday morning 6:45 AM) and rotating holiday call,

• No floating within the unit,

Job Requirements

• Active Maine (ME) or compact RN license required,

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS,

• Minimum 2 years of OR/circulator experience required,

• Driver's license required for consideration,

• 2 professional references required,

• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Scrub experience is preferred but not required,

• Hospital-provided blue scrubs,

• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any Maine Health facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may be subject to a different bill rate,

• Local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions,

• Candidates who have worked at any Maine Health facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during the consideration process,

• Travel pairs or groups are not permitted for this position,

• Float between facilities within a 25-mile radius may be required as needed,
