SummaryThe MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
Unit OverviewPost Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Recovery is a 3 bed recovery room where patients who have had surgery or diagnostic procedures requiring anesthesia or sedation are monitored after surgery. This is a critical care unit where the patient's vital signs are closely observed, pain management begins, and fluids are given. This area allows patients to regain consciousness and fully emerge from the effects of anesthesia under the supervision of skilled nurses.

MH RN II:
This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, the RN II demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as an RN I, provided the RN I requirements are met and the employee is in good standing.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).
