As a Field Service Engineer (FSE) at Omnicell, you’ll be a trusted technical expert supporting pharmacy and supply automation systems that directly impact patient care. You’ll work independently in hospital environments to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain advanced electro‑mechanical and software‑integrated solutions. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities) Key Deliverables & Business ImpactAs a Field Service Engineer, your work directly supports Omnicell’s mission to improve medication and supply management in healthcare settings. Success in this role means ensuring high system uptime, rapid issue resolution, and exceptional customer satisfaction—all of which contribute to operational efficiency and patient safety. Your contributions help Omnicell deliver on its promise of safer, smarter medication and supply management. By ensuring systems are functioning optimally, you reduce downtime, improve clinical workflows, and reinforce Omnicell’s reputation for reliability and innovation in healthcare technology.
Youwill:
- Ensure system reliability by performing timely troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on Omnicell’s automation solutions.
- Drive customer trust and satisfaction by building strong relationships with nursing and pharmacy leadership, serving as a knowledgeable and responsive technical partner.
- Support product innovation by analyzing complex service issues and escalating bugs or design concerns to engineering and hardware teams.
- Enhance product performance through actionable field feedback that informs continuous improvement.
- Represent Field Services in cross‑functional initiatives and field projects that shape the future of healthcare automation.
- Elevate team capability by mentoring junior technicians and sharing best practices.
- Maintain operational excellence through accurate documentation, inventory management, and adherence to service level agreements.
- Empower end users by delivering basic product training and ensuring confidence in system usage.
- Bachelor’s Degree; or Associates Degree or Trade School Certification or Military Training OR Completion of an approved Apprenticeship/Bridge Program or externalskilledtradesapprenticeshipOR
- 2+years’ experiencetroubleshooting and repairing electromechanical equipment/machinery
- Bachelor’s +1-yearrelevant experience OR
- Associate’s/Trade/Military Training +2years relevant experience OR
- 4+years equivalent electromechanical experience
- Hands on repairs, troubleshooting, root cause analysis experience working on electromechanical/Automated complex machinery that may include Industrial manufacturing equipment/machinery, Aviation/Aircraft systems, Robotic Systems, or anything similar.
- Experience working in a high volume environment that requires 24/7 on call support
- Passion for trade based work
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or related discipline
- Experience working in a hospital environment
