The Central Staffing Resources Unit offers a unique opportunity for experienced RNs to expand their knowledge base and sharpen their skill set. Care team members are given the opportunity to train on an array of units at Pen Bay Medical Center. The assortment of floors and units assigned to will provide an opportunity to practice in various clinical areas throughout the hospital.
Care team members working in Central Staffing must possess the ability to think quickly on their feet, remarkable adaptability and critical thinking expertise. Having the ability to transition between departments including but not limited to medical-surgical, critical care, inpatient behavioral health and emergency is a must when working in Central Staffing.
This is a 13-week, temporary night shift position.
The Temporary Registered Nurse role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN's require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. OB, NICU RN's require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
One year of recent RN experience preferred.
Required:
Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women required.
