Overview
Our new Seaport Dental Center, opening April 2026, is looking for an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). The Expanded Function Dental Assistant (“EFDA”) provides direct chair-side assistance to the Dentist in the delivery of high-quality, patient centered dental services to patients of all ages. In addition to the duties of the Dental Assistant, the EFDA may perform a number of additional specific procedures in accordance with applicable law.
PCHC's Seaport Dental Center is seeking a mission-driven EFDA to help establish our newly renovated 8-operatory practice located within Seaport Community Health Center, anticipated to open in April 2026.
Part-time (38 hours), Monday through Thursday, 7:15 am to 5:30 pm. Fridays and weekends OFF.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- State of Maine Dental Radiographer License required. Must obtain within 3 months if not current at hire.
- State of Maine Expanded Function Dental Assisting license required (requires CDA certificate or hygiene license, successful completion of CODA-accredited or equivalent EFDA program, and successful completion of jurisprudence exam).
- Will have up-to-date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Health & Safety Institute. Must obtain within 2 weeks if not current at hire.
