Superior Industries is looking for a detail-oriented Weld Technician to elevate our production standards. This isn’t just about pulling a trigger; it’s about mastering the craft. • Precision Fabrication: Execute fit-up, tacking, and final welding of steel components to produce complex sub-assemblies. You will interpret blueprints and utilize both FCAW and GMAW processes.
• Technical Setup: Manage surface preparation and calibrate machine parameters. You’ll be responsible for selecting the optimal welding strategy for materials ranging from thin-gauge steel to 1" plate.
• Quality Assurance: Deliver high-caliber, visually seamless welds that consistently exceed inspection benchmarks and AWS standards.
• Equipment Mastery: Safely operate and maintain specialized gear, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and thermal cutting tools (plasma and oxyacetylene).
• Operational Versatility: Adapt to diverse project needs by welding in all positions—flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead—while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

• Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 5:00pm

• Blueprint Literacy: Advanced ability to read and interpret complex computer-based drawings, schematics, and 3D models.
• Measurement Accuracy: Absolute precision in reading 1/8” and 1/16” gradations on a tape measure.
• Tool Proficiency: Expert-level experience with grinders, hand tools, and torch-cutting equipment.
• Certified Performance: Ability to achieve and maintain 3G certification (AWS D1.1).
• Experience: We prefer candidates with at least 3 years of dedicated fitting experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
