Position SummaryProvide restorative nursing services to assist or promote residents’ ability to attain the highest practicable level of physical functioning and self‑care. Restorative nursing activities include, but are not limited to, range of motion, training and skill practice in transfer, eating, walking, toileting, and grooming activities.
PrincipalDuties & Responsibilities
- Receive plans of treatment from PTs, OTs and SLPs to follow for designated residents.
- Document programs provided and progress toward goals per ministry guidelines.
- Provide nursing care as assigned in a safe manner, consistent with policies and procedures of the community.
- Report resident changes in conditions to the Charge Nurse and/or Supervisor.
- Work cooperatively with residents, families, and other members of the resident care team.
- Provide direct resident care as assigned, including answering call lights, giving routine care, taking participants to and from the dining room and activities, serving meals, assisting with feeding, bathing, transferring participants, and cleaning resident environment.
- Maintain compliance with infection control, personal protection equipment, blood‑borne pathogens, hazardous material handling and fire safety standards; properly handle and dispose of soiled linens, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong collaborative, interpersonal, organizational, multi‑tasking, verbal and written communication skills, and a desire to create a high‑performance, effective team that can produce consistent, demonstrated results.
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with co‑workers and ministry leadership.
- Clear and concise communication, both oral and written.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills, detail orientation, teamwork, integrity, personal commitment, analytical skills, independent work, and ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Ability to function in a matrix environment and demonstrate passion to succeed, self‑motivation, dependability, commitment, and willingness to see a project through to its conclusion.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
