• Location: Bel Air, MD 21014 (Harford County) — Maryland nursing jobs, travel nursing in Bel Air
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN)
• Unit: 3E CPU (Cardiac Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit - PCU)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• Shifts: Night Shift - 3x12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1920-$2020
• Patient Population: Adults / Geriatrics
• Unit Details: 22 rooms / 30 beds, average daily census of 30
• Scrub Color: Navy blue

• Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Cardiac Telemetry RN or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse — telemetry nurse jobs, PCU nurse jobs
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or an active Compact State license
• BLS (AHA), CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS (AHA) preferred (telemetry/PCU experience with ACLS is a plus)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) preferred
• Comfortable managing higher-acuity patients and floating to other units as needed
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5-6
• References: 2 satisfactory professional references (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Travel requirement:
  Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions (CHF, COPD exacerbation, NSTEMI, new onset Afib, arrhythmias, sepsis, renal failure/AKI)
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and collaborate with cardiology as needed
• Administer medications, manage cardiac drips (no titration), and follow heparin protocols
• Perform peripheral and PICC line care/management, blood product administration, and chest tube management (Emerson / Pleur Evac)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response/code teams
• Document accurately using Epic EHR and maintain thorough patient records
• Adhere to isolation precautions/PPE and infection control protocols
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed and float within the hospital scope of experience
