MRI Technologist --PRN

Overview

Join an energetic, patient-focused team at Medstar Radiology Network in Bel Air, MD. This is a PRN / as-needed MRI Technologist position; coverage is required during weekdays and Saturdays.

Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI technologist performs routine to complex magnetic resonance procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements. Serves as part of the imaging center team and provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

• Perform routine to complex MRI procedures and related techniques
• Produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
• Maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance in imaging services
• Collaborate with imaging center team and contribute to clinical practice improvements

• EXPERIENCE:
  
  Up to 5 years experience as an MRI Technologist
• EDUCATION:
  
  Minimum Associate's Degree in Radiology or graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program
• LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
  Must be ARRT registered in Radiography or ARMRIT; MR advanced registration required upon hire for IDTF centers; non-IDTF centers require MR advanced registry within 12 months; state licensure as applicable
• SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  Knowledge of MRI procedures and protocols; operation of MRI and ancillary equipment; ability to work independently and multitask; accurate documentation; understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology; computer literacy
