Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Bel Air, Maryland

Overview

This travel SLP position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant K-12 school setting in a waterfront city in Maryland known for its marinas and boating. Enjoy proximity to Washington, D.C., with a convenient weekend trip just under two hours away. The contract covers the full  school year, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

• Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
• Develop accurate diagnoses and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment strategies accordingly.
• Educate and support students and families on communication disorders and strategies for improvement.
• Maintain precise documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress notes, complying with all legal and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with school personnel and healthcare professionals to optimize student care and participate in multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate.

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid Maryland state licensure as an SLP or eligibility for licensure.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
