Conexess Group is aiding an engineering client in their search for a Civil Design Engineer. This is a contract to hire opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Civil Design Engineer to lead project teams and deliver outstanding results for our clients.

Your Goals and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all phases of civil/site design projects from inception through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, including coordination with sub-consultants and internal team members.
  • Oversee technical review processing, code compliance, and quality control for all project deliverables.
  • Facilitate project meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate project status to clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
  • Identify project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support business development efforts by preparing proposals and participating in client presentations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in civil/site design and project management, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and permitting processes.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain within one year.
