Job DescriptionHarford Community College is currently seeking workforce and continuing education Allied Health Instructors.
- Distribution and review of class syllabus with students.
- Delivering instruction as assigned, in the format required by the College.
- Assessing student outcomes through exams, quizzes, and other graded assignments where appropriate.
- Communicating with students to support learning and goal achievement, referring students to services available to them as needed.
- Submitting required attendance and grades.
- Adhering to FERPA records protection laws.
- Staying current in methods and/or software needed to deliver instruction as assigned.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia. Work is generally performed on the College campus unless otherwise specified.

Required EducationProficiency in the area of study, and proof of certifications and other qualifications where applicable.
Required ExperienceTwo years of industry experience in the healthcare field.
- Tier I:
No prior teaching experience. - Tier II:
Prior teaching experience and/or expectation of curriculum development.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Exhibit a strong desire to support student success and prepare students for employment in healthcare.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior teaching experience is preferred.
- Professional experience in the discipline.
- Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) and classroom technology.
Varies based on assignment – may include days, evenings, and weekends.
