Senior Sales Engineer

Join Tap Growth ai as a Senior Sales Engineer. We are looking for a dynamic, results‑driven External Sales Engineer to help hunt new business opportunities, meet customers, and provide technical expertise.

Role Overview

We seek an External Sales Engineer to expand the customer base, build strong relationships, and provide technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively prospect and generate new leads to expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Conduct sales visits and presentations to potential clients to showcase product offerings and technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical support and solutions to customer inquiries, and to complete the sales order process.
  • Manage customer inquiries via face‑to‑face meetings, phone, email and other communication channels.
  • Deliver technical proposals, quotations, product/sales information and solutions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives set by the sales management team.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences to promote brand awareness and network with potential customers.
  • Support the sales director and operations director with sales related requirements.
  • Any other work as assigned by the sales director for the business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant sales experience, with direct experience in valves and related equipment.
  • Strong existing client base.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to customers effectively in a simple and easy‑to‑understand manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
