Supply and Demand Senior Manager

Our client is a prominent FMCG company who is a market leader in Indonesia. Currently they are looking for supply and demand planner senior manager who is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining accurate forecasts for finished goods and raw materials to ensure optimal product availability, minimize waste, and achieve cost-efficiency across the supply chain. This role serves as a critical link between Sales, Marketing, Production, Procurement, and Logistics, playing a vital role in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to meet customer demand for perishable consumer products
.

• Demand Forecasting:
  • Generate and maintain accurate sales forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation (SKU, product family, channel) using statistical models, historical data, and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing teams to incorporate promotional activity, new product introductions, and market trends into the demand plan.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy, identify significant variances (bias), and drive continuous improvement in forecasting methodologies and systems.
• Supply Planning & Inventory Management:
  • Translate the consolidated demand plan into a workable supply plan, including production schedules, material requirements (MRP), and capacity planning for manufacturing facilities.
  • Determine and maintain optimal inventory targets for finished goods and raw materials, considering shelf‑life/freshness, lead times, production capacity, and cost objectives.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Procurement and Production to prevent stock‑outs, minimize excess/obsolete inventory, and reduce write‑offs.
• S&OP Process Leadership:
  • Actively participate in and support the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, preparing relevant data and reports.
  • Facilitate discussions to align the demand and supply plans with financial goals and business strategy, ensuring one cohesive operational plan.
• Logistics & Vendor Coordination:
  • Coordinate with logistics and distribution partners to ensure timely product flow and efficient delivery to customers.
  • Provide input to the Procurement team for vendor management, purchase order planning, and raw material availability.
• Reporting & Analysis:
  • Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory days of supply (DIO), and service levels.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain issues and propose data‑driven solutions.

• Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or a similar role within the Food & Beverage/FMCG sector.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and/or specialized Demand Planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, Kinaxis).
  • Familiarity with production planning principles in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven ability to problem‑solve and make timely, data‑driven decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
