Federal Work Study - Student Peer Tutor
Location:
ASU Beebe.
Terms:
Fall 2025 & Spring 2026.
Hours:
15 per week.
Responsibilities:
- Tutor students; tutor math, science, or business subjects based on qualification.
- Participate in study groups as needed.
- Assist with office traffic and student check‑out of textbooks and calculators.
- Provide calculator tutorials and programming assistance.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of FAFSA.
- Math tutors must have completed College Algebra with a grade of B or higher.
- Science tutors must have completed Biology, Chemistry, or Physics with a grade of B or higher.
- Business tutors must have completed Accounting I, Statistics, or Business Calculus with a grade of B or higher.
- Completion of a skills assessment is required.
Compensation: $11 per hour.
This position will be subject to a pre‑employment background check for criminal and sex‑offender registry. Additional financial/credit history background check may also be required. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment. Factors such as dates of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation and position applied for will be taken into account.
