ASU-Beebe is seeking an adjunct Instructor of Health Information Technology. ASU-Beebe, a two-year residential community college part of the Arkansas State University System, is compiling a pool of qualified candidates interested in future part-time teaching opportunities in the following academic discipline:
Health Information Technology.

The successful candidate will possess advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, surgical procedures, medical office procedures, and Microsoft Office Suite software; provide consistent, quality teaching. Courses may be taught on any of the ASU Beebe campuses, with night and Saturday classes possible, and could include face-to-face, Zoom, internet assisted and online instruction. Instructors may be asked to teach up to (9) credit hours per semester.

Associate’s (or higher) degree in a related field and at least two (2) years of related, non-teaching work experience; ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to succeed; strong computer and technology skills.

• Previous teaching experience
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCSP credentials
• Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)

$650 per credit hour

This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment. Factors such as dates of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation and position applied for will be taken into account.
