Part-Time Automotive Technology Instructor

Position Overview

ASU-Beebe, a two‑year residential community college within the Arkansas State University System, is seeking a qualified candidate for the part‑time automotive technology instructor position in the Automotive Technology program. The instructor will teach both classroom and automotive laboratory courses to college and high school students.

• Prepare automotive technology curriculum, assignments, and exercises.
• Teach automotive technology courses.
• Provide quality feedback on student work.
• Assist with maintaining laboratory and related equipment.
• Record daily attendance.
• Submit grades within established deadlines.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Associate’s degree and/or 3–5 years of relevant work experience in the appropriate field.

Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in G1, A Series for automobile & light trucks.

$650 per credit hour.

• Stand frequently
• Walk regularly
• Talk or hear continuously
• Handle up to 10 pounds regularly
• Handle up to 25 pounds regularly
• Occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell, lift up to 50 or 100 pounds
• Vision: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.

This position will be subject to a pre‑employment criminal background check. Additional financial or credit history/background check may be required. Convictions that are sealed or legally erased and misdemeanor convictions with completed probation will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment.
