Position Overview
ASU-Beebe, a two‑year residential community college within the Arkansas State University System, is seeking a qualified candidate for the part‑time automotive technology instructor position in the Automotive Technology program. The instructor will teach both classroom and automotive laboratory courses to college and high school students.
Responsibilities- Prepare automotive technology curriculum, assignments, and exercises.
- Teach automotive technology courses.
- Provide quality feedback on student work.
- Assist with maintaining laboratory and related equipment.
- Record daily attendance.
- Submit grades within established deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Associate’s degree and/or 3–5 years of relevant work experience in the appropriate field.
Preferred QualificationsAutomotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in G1, A Series for automobile & light trucks.
Salary$650 per credit hour.

- Handle up to 10 pounds regularly
- Handle up to 25 pounds regularly
- Occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell, lift up to 50 or 100 pounds
- Vision: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
This position will be subject to a pre‑employment criminal background check. Additional financial or credit history/background check may be required. Convictions that are sealed or legally erased and misdemeanor convictions with completed probation will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment.
