As The International School of Texas (IST) continues to grow, we announce our search for a full‑time Middle School Math & Science Teacher to begin duties in August 2026. This position’s primary responsibility will be to teach International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP) students. The role will join a team of highly qualified, motivated, and professional educators in our Secondary Division.

• Plan and prepare highly engaging, rigorous mathematics and science lessons while documenting and tailoring instructional practices to best meet the needs of the students.
• Integrate curriculum with authentic, inquiry‑based or project‑based learning.
• Keep abreast of new technology platforms and integrate them into all aspects of the classroom.
• Lead extracurricular and club activities that enrich the IST experience.

• Lead Teacher has experience teaching middle school.
• Strong belief in progressive education and experience integrating curriculum with authentic, inquiry‑based or project‑based learning.
• Openness to new technology platforms and their integration into all aspects of the classroom.
• Demonstrated gift for engaging a diverse student body and strengthening IST’s community.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience teaching in an International Baccalaureate School is preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred and increased stipend rewarded.
• Two or more years of Middle School teaching experience.
• Pedagogical best practices integrated with SEL/Mindfulness.
