Behaviour & Inclusion Mentor

An ambitious 11–18 secondary school in Bedlington, South East Northumberland is seeking a confident, resilient Behaviour & Inclusion Mentor to support students who require additional structure, guidance, and consistency.

£95 – £110 per day | Full-Time | Immediate Start

You won’t be firefighting alone. You’ll be part of a coordinated team.

You will:

• Work 1:1 and in small groups with students displaying challenging behaviour
• Support pupils at risk of exclusion or persistent disruption
• De-escalate situations calmly and confidently
• Act as a positive role model across the school day
• Help students reflect, reset and return to learning

This is hands‑on, purposeful work where relationships matter.

• Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Sports Science or Education
• Youth workers or sports coaches
• Individuals with experience in SEMH or alternative provision
• Those considering careers in teaching, social work or youth justice
• Confident personalities who can set boundaries without confrontation

You need presence, patience and emotional intelligence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
