We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Business Teacher to join a lovely and welcoming secondary school in Northumberland.

This is an ongoing position starting ASAP, covering long-term sickness, with the opportunity to make a real impact on students learning and progress.

The successful candidate will be teaching Business Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4, working within a supportive department and a well-led school with a positive learning environment.

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Mark work and provide constructive feedback to support student progress
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
• Track and monitor student progress and adapt teaching accordingly
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and the English department
• Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
