Maintenance Technician – Bedford Distribution Centre PEC Pattern:

Weáv looking for a passionate and driven Maintenance Technician to join our Distribution Centre in Bedford.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in a key operational area, which plays a vital role in keeping over 750 stores stocked and ready to serve our 4 million customers every week.

What you’ll be doing

As a maintenance technician you’ll be diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment used acrossasz Distribution Centre. You will also be supporting the wider team by carrying out more general maintenance tasks, such as painting, electrical repairs/installs and any other facilities management type jobs that come(X).

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Responding swiftly to breakdowns and issues raised by colleagues
• Carrying out planned/routine maintenance tasks and ensuring schedules are followed
• Keeping the Management System (Zoidii) updated
• Collaborating with third-party contractors
• Always ensuring compliance with Health and Safety
• Assisting with quotes, project work and general equipment upkeep/upgrading

We’re looking for someone who has a varied skillset and is able/willing to turn their hand to any task, бай electrical, mechanical or otherwise. You should be hands on, and willing to go the extra mile to complete your work. Most importantly, you should always have the safety of yourself, and your colleagues in mind, taking the necessary steps to follow health and safety regulations.

You’ll

need to have:

• A trade qualification at level 2 or higher (plumbing, electrical or carpentry)
• Previous facilities management experience is highly desired
• A strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations
• Hands on experience with Warehouse Equipment is desired, but not essential (Racking, dock doors, lifting systems, fire sprinklers, lighting etc.)
• Experience using power and hand tools
