The Best Connection are once again proud to be partnering with our client and are recruiting for Production Operatives for their Biggleswade site.

The Best Connection Bedford are pleased to be recruiting for Production Operatives for their state‑of‑the‑art production site in Biggleswade. The role is working a rotating shift pattern of 06:00am‑14:00 week 1 and 14:00‑22:00 week 2, Monday‑Friday.

Pay rate is £12.90 per hour then after 12 weeks will increase to £13.62, Overtime is available (subject to availability) on Weekends/bank holiday up to £24.50 per hour.

The role will involve producing mixes and batters from raw ingredients to other food manufacturers and restaurant chains.

• Follow strict food hygiene and health and safety protocol at all times when operating the production equipment.
• Select, weigh and mix raw ingredients to menu specifications and operate machinery and equipment to ensure finished products are of the highest quality.
• Pick, Pack and label products ready for dispatch and assist with any other production duties as required.
• Complete any required safety check and cleaning duties on shift reporting any issues to management.
• Have an interest in working in Industrial Food production and work collaboratively with colleagues at all times.

• Operate the production machinery safely and following all health and safety protocol, following directions/instructions.
• Must be able to commute to the site in Biggleswade and commit to rotating shifts on an on‑going/temp to perm basis.
• Carry out tasks that involve manual handling with some heavy lifting up to 25kg on a daily basis.
• Assist in other areas of the production and warehouse to meet production targets.
