Warehouse Team Leader

The Best Connection are recruiting for a Night shift/Late Shift Warehouse Team leader for one of our clients in Bedford. This role is a temp to perm opportunity to join one of the UK's largest distributors of plumbing supplies.

The shift pattern is Sunday-Thursday from 18:00 - 03:00 hrs, pay rate is £15.38 per hour. We are accepting applications who hold in date accredited Reach Truck/Counterbalance licences and at least 2-3 years supervisory experience.

• Motivate, lead and coach a team of warehouse operatives
• Monitor and assign daily tasks to ensure timely and accurate order picking
• Carry out regular team briefings/meetings to communication expectations, goals and updates
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to and enforcing EHS policies and procedures
• Conduct and record keep safety inspections and report any hazards to resolution.
• Follow all HR regulations and maintain a positive and productive working environment
• Track and report on any KPI's for the team - identifying any training needs

• Must have at least two years Warehouse supervisory knowledge and experience
• Strong knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures including health and safety and operational standards
• Conduct performance reviews and training activities to maximise team development and opportunities
• Strong attention to detail, conscientious and hard-working with the ability to lead the team to high performance standards
• Direct staff management experience, monitoring workflow and operational performance.
• Strong IT skills with experience in using warehouse management software applications
• Work collaboratively with management and staff
