Vital People are currently recruiting an experienced Yard Cleaner to join a reputable recycling company based in the Sharnbrook area of Bedford (MK44).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking stable, full-time work with the option to progress into a permanent position after a successful temporary period.

This role is hands-on and physically demanding, ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe. You will be working both indoors and outdoors, supporting the wider team in maintaining high hygiene and safety standards across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe yard environment

* Sweep, hose down, and remove waste or debris from working areas

* Clean equipment and ensure correct disposal of materials

* Support general housekeeping duties around the site

* Follow on-site Health & Safety and environmental procedures at all times

* Report hazards, damages, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors

* Work collaboratively with the team to maintain operational efficiency

Requirements

* Previous experience in a factory, waste, recycling, or industrial environment (essential)

* Strong work ethic and willingness to undertake physical labour

* Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions

* Good communication skills and team-working attitude

* High attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness

* Reliable, punctual, and available to start immediately

* Monday to Friday

* 8:00am – 5:00pm

* Pay rate: £12.35 per hour

* Weekly pay
