About the RoleAre you passionate about data governance and quality? bpha is seeking a Data Governance and Quality Expert to lead the development and implementation of data governance and data quality frameworks across our organisation. This pivotal role provides expert guidance designing and delivering training and engaging with senior leaders to embed best practices and ensure data is treated as a strategic asset.
Responsibilities- Acting as the go-to expert for data governance and data quality influencing and supporting senior leaders to adopt best practices.
- Developing assessing and implementing data governance and data quality frameworks policies and standards.
- Defining and promoting clear roles and responsibilities for data ownership and stewardship.
- Designing and delivering engaging training programmes to increase awareness and capability across the organisation.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders facilitating workshops and gathering feedback.
- Establishing and monitoring KPIs and metrics to track data quality and governance effectiveness leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience in data governance data quality and data management.
- Strong understanding of data-related regulations (e.g. GDPR Data Protection Act).
- Experience designing and delivering training programmes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills especially with senior leaders.
- Ability to translate complex data concepts into accessible language.
- Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in change management and organisational transformation.
- Certifications in Data Governance/Data Management (e.g. DAMA DCAM).
- Project or programme management experience.
