Job Title – Assistant Reporting Accountant

Rate - £160-£180 a day (Umbrella)

Working Pattern – Remote

Location – WFH

Contract Length – 3 months +

• Support the finance team in delivering accurate financial records and management information within agreed deadlines, ensuring all data meets regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain robust monitoring systems across all areas of financial control, helping to identify opportunities for service improvement.
• Collaborate with budget holders and colleagues to shape and deliver enhancements in financial processes through effective communication and teamwork.
• Stay up-to-date with legislative changes, accounting regulations, and guidelines, proactively suggesting improvements where necessary.
• Take ownership of queries and problems related to accounts and budgets, providing reliable support to colleagues as needed.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets by gathering relevant data, analysing trends, and supporting budget holders throughout the process.

• Demonstrated experience working with accounts and budget information within a finance department or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of budgetary requirements and principles relevant to financial control.
• Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build effective working relationships with budget holders and colleagues across the organisation.
