We are seeking a Product Development Electrical Engineer to join an innovative engineering team developing low‑voltage electrical products used in modern data centre and cooling technologies. The role involves designing and developing electrical systems from concept through to production release, ensuring products meet customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop low-voltage electrical products from concept through to production.
* Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, calculations and detailed design documentation.
* Engineer power modules, power-distribution assemblies and control circuits operating at 24
VDC, 48
VDC and 240
VAC.
* Design electrical architectures that integrate with pumps, heat exchangers and cooling-system components.
* Develop PCB or PCB/A solutions for power distribution, control circuits and embedded control systems.
* Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing and industrialisation teams to optimise designs for production.
* Support DFMEA/PFMEA activities, design reviews and cost optimisation initiatives.
* Assist with prototype builds, verification testing, electrical safety testing and functional validation.
* Troubleshoot and resolve electrical or system issues identified during development or testing.
* Maintain accurate documentation including BOMs, specifications, test reports and engineering change records.
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience in electrical product development within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Strong knowledge of low-voltage AC/DC systems including 24
VDC, 48
VDC and 240
VAC architectures.
* Experience designing PCB and PCBA assemblies including power handling and control circuits.
* Familiarity with electrical design tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, Solid Works Electrical, Altium or KiCad.
* Understanding of electrical safety, EMC considerations, grounding and surge protection.
* Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
