Field Service Engineer (Compactors & Balers)
Location:
Bedford, Bedfordshire (Accepting Applicants from surrounding counties)
The package:
- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays + 1 additional day per year / up to 25 days + Bank

- Operate in a 1.5 hour radius of your location with door to door paid

The Duties:
- To attend breakdowns, service and PPM’s on an array of industrial scale compactor systems within the waste management industry.
- The use of manual hand tools (Spanners, Screwdrivers), electrical hand tools (powered drills, grinders), lifting equipment (lifting slangs, hoists etc), Hot working tools (Blowtorch, heat guns)
- To carry out electrical, electronic, mechanical fault finding alongside elements of hydraulic systems.
- To manage your time effectively to ensure work is carried out to a high standard in a timely manner.
- Update job reports and order parts when necessary.
- Ensure Health & Safety Procedures are followed
The Requirements:
- Electrical, Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience would be advantageous. Any previous experience with MIG/TIG Welding is advantageous but not essential. A good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge, similar roles could include plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, pneumatic engineer, mechanical fitter, forklift engineer. Experience using electrical & mechanical tools. Previous experience as a mechanical, electrical or field based engineer.
Any experience surrounding hydraulic systems/hoses, mechanical fault finding & repair alongside some base electrical work
