Future Gen Recruitment is delighted to be working with awell-established planning consultancy seeking a Senior Town Planner to supporta growing portfolio of strategic residential schemes across Bedfordshire andthe wider Oxford–Cambridge Arc.
This consultancy is heavily involved in the promotion ofland through emerging Local Plans, advising clients on the technical andpolitical complexities of housing growth, infrastructure delivery and long-term strategic development planning. Their client base includes national landpromoters, PLC house builders and private estates.
The RoleAs Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in leading projects and acting as the day-to-day client advisor.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managingplanning applications from inception through to determination
- Draftingdetailed Planning Statements and strategic planning advice notes
- Preparing Local Plan representations and growth submissions
- Advising on planning policy risk and site promotion strategy
- Representing clients at planning committee and stakeholder meetings
- Supporting appeal submissions where required
- Mentoringjunior planners and supporting project delivery quality
This is a role offering strong autonomy, varied project work and clear progression.
About You- MRTPIqualified or close to achieving chartership
- Strong experience in residential development planning
- Local Plan and strategic land promotion experience advantageous
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Commerciallyminded with strong project management capability
