Inclusion and Elective Home Education Officer
Are you passionate about ensuring every child receives the support, guidance, and opportunities they need to thrive? We are seeking a committed, knowledgeable, and child centred Inclusion & EHE Officer to join our team on a one year maternity cover contract. In this vital position, you will work closely with families, schools, and partner agencies to promote inclusive practice and ensure children educated at home receive appropriate support and oversight.
You will help safeguard children’s wellbeing, champion their right to high quality education, and guide families through the Elective Home Education process.
- Provide advice, guidance, and challenge to ensure inclusive education for all children, especially for those at risk of exclusion.
- Monitor, review, and assess the suitability of home education arrangements.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families, schools, and multi agency partners.
- Contribute to safeguarding processes and maintain accurate records.
- Support the development and delivery of inclusion strategies and local authority duties.
- Office advice and guidance to schools, professionals and parents or carers in line with the statutory guidance for Suspensions and Permanent Exclusions.
