The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Main Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality industrial and commercial new build projects across the UK.

They are currently delivering a live £10M industrial scheme in Cranfield and require an experienced Freelance Project Manager to take the project through the final 20 weeks to successful completion.

This is a site-based role requiring a hands-on Project Manager with proven experience delivering new build industrial units through the latter stages of construction, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure programme and quality targets are met

* Drive the project through the final phases to completion and client handover

* Manage subcontractors, site teams, and supplier coordination

* Monitor H&S compliance and enforce best practice on site

* Chair site meetings and report progress to senior management

* Manage snagging, commissioning, and practical completion processes

* Ensure works are delivered within budget and to specification

Candidate Requirements

* Proven track record delivering new build industrial units as Project Manager

* Experience working for a Main Contractor

* Strong leadership and communication skills

* Ability to manage live projects under programme pressure

* Excellent H&S knowledge and site management capability

Essential

Certifications:

* Valid CSCS Card

* SMSTS

* First Aid at Work
