Vehicle Technician

Location: Thurleigh (suitable for candidates living in Bedford, St Neots, Northampton, Wellingborough, and Huntingdon areas)

Salary: £41,714 per year

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Job Type: Permanent

We are working with a major automotive business that plays a key role in the UK vehicle supply chain. This organisation operates at scale across multiple sites and offers excellent long‑term career development opportunities within a professional workshop environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well‑established site operations team.

As part of an experienced workshop team, you will ensure vehicles are prepared to a high standard for customers. You will work under the guidance of the Workshop Supervisor and Manager while also being confident working independently.

• Carry out general servicing on a range of vehicles
• Undertake tyre fitting and replacement
• Conduct road testing, ramp testing, and vehicle inspections
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs using approved methods
• Diagnose vehicle faults, including electrical issues where required
• Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail

• Previous experience in a similar Vehicle Technician position
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3,2 or 1
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
• Willingness to support junior technicians when required
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
• Passion for the automotive industry
