Our Assistant Accountant role presents a unique opportunity to join an ambitious company poised for expansion into customer markets. What you will be doing:

In this role, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities that contribute to the financial health and compliance of the organisation. Here's an overview of what you'll be doing:

* Statutory Obligations:
Assist with statutory accounts, IFRS compliance, corporation tax and R&D tax requirements, payroll processes and facilitate external audits.

* Management Accounts Support:
Supporting the preparation of management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.

* Coordination of Accounting Processes:
Help to drive and coordinate accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

* Accounts Payable Management:
Managing the accounts payable process, including invoice processing in Xero, supplier reconciliations, approvals, and company credit card statements.

* Invoice Register Maintenance:
Maintain the invoice register to support month-end accruals.

Your skills and experience:

* Experience as an Assistant Accountant with strong understanding of the Accounts Payable process.

* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.

* Experience with accounting software, preferably, but not essential, Xero.

* Experience of Microsoft Excel and ERP Systems.

About you:

You will be part-qualified and studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA, with strong accounting fundamentals and experience supporting financial and management accounts.

Experience with IFRS, Xero, and ERP Systems is desirable but not essential. You will be motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding our values.
