Maintenance Technician – Bedford, TX

Burlington Capital Properties is a nationally recognized property management company seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Miranda property located in Bedford, TX. We pride ourselves on the quality living experience we provide to our residents and on hiring top‑notch employees.

Overview

This full‑time position requires availability Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with on‑call rotation on evenings and weekends (schedule to be discussed during interviews).

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain and/or improve the condition of homes to prepare them for new residents by providing basic home maintenance in the areas of touch‑up painting, drywall, plumbing, floor coverings, electrical, carpentry work, and appliance repairs.
  • Troubleshoot, perform, and/or assist in interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings, and grounds according to established procedures.
  • Regularly communicate with supervisor regarding status of service requests and make‑ready units.
  • Follow all safety and liability guidelines as outlined.
  • Regularly inspect laundry facilities, common area restrooms, etc. to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
  • Participate in resident functions as requested by Management.
  • Maintenance team members may be required to be “on call.”
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in maintenance or an equivalent field.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, pools, and general building trades.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • HVAC certification.
  • Ability to follow directives and work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of the English language and effective communication skills.
  • Positive interaction with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
  • Must provide your own basic tools for apartment/building maintenance.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and lift or carry weight up to 75 pounds; reliable transportation required.
