Jack In The Box - Assistant Restaurant Manager Position Summary

Responsible for managing restaurant operations, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion daily to ensure effective execution of our Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise, and builds restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Internal Service:
  Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees; monitor staffing levels; ensure training systems are implemented; identify internal candidates for management roles; create a friendly, clean, and safe environment; motivate and inspire employees to achieve high performance.
• External Service:
  Deliver exceptional guest service and food quality; monitor adherence to JIB systems, procedures and food safety; respond to guest concerns promptly; maintain brand image through consistent service and cleanliness.
• Higher Profits:
  Analyze operational and financial performance; identify trends; develop and execute action plans to increase sales and profitability; monitor costs and adherence to budget and goals.

• Education – High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience – Minimum one year as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager in a customer‑service environment; or minimum three years as an Assistant Manager with some P&L responsibility.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities – At least 18 years old; complete Assistant Manager training;
  Serv Safe certified;
  English proficiency; basic math; analytical and organizational skills; self‑starter; computer literacy; valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Physical Requirements – Standing and walking 85‑95% of shift; lifting 10‑65 lbs; operating restaurant equipment; using a computer keyboard.
