Senior Network Engineer

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year.

Location:

DFW Mid-Cities area, full‑time on‑site role reporting directly to the IT Manager.

We are an established organization with a centralized headquarters focused on reliability, security, and continuous improvement across our technology environment.

You will own and support a stable, mission‑critical network environment while working closely with internal teams. This role offers hands‑on responsibility, visibility, and the opportunity to make a real impact in a centralized, on‑site setting.

• 5+ years of hands‑on network engineering experience.
• Full‑time, on‑site role (DFW Mid-Cities).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience managing LAN/WAN in a Juniper‑based network environment.
• Ability to lead, take initiative, and work independently.
• Strong network engineering, operations, and performance analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills with non‑technical users.

• Manage and maintain network security solutions including Fortinet firewalls, endpoint detection, and IDS.
• Implement, configure, and support Fortinet products and software.
• Assign network addresses and implement network protocols.
• Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain switches, firewalls, cabling, and related equipment.
• Provide second‑level network support.
• Assist with selection and implementation of new hardware and software.
• Perform network security monitoring and threat mitigation.
• Maintain documentation for networks, equipment, warranties, repairs, and requests.
• Manage and troubleshoot accounts, passwords, and access.

• Layer 3 troubleshooting on Juniper switches and Fortinet firewalls.
• Layer 1 and 2 networking troubleshooting.
• Routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, static routing.
• VMware.
• Nutanix.
• Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
• Active Directory (Windows Server 2012/2016).
• Ruckus (plus).
• Network monitoring tools such as PRTG.
• Certifications:
  
  Network+ or CCNA preferred.
