We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail‑oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling front desk operations, scheduling, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet patients and visitors warmly, both in person and over the phone.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using the clinic's scheduling system.
- Collect and verify patient information and insurance details accurately.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle patient check‑ins and check‑outs, including co‑pays and billing information.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls to appropriate staff.
- Coordinate communication between patients, medical staff, and external providers.
- Manage office supplies, maintain a clean reception area, and support clinic operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and faxing documents.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare office (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes (a plus)
- Proficiency in MS Office and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
