Infrastructure Engineer – AWS & SQL Server (Hybrid – Bedford, TX)

Location: Bedford, TX (near Hwy 183) – Hybrid / In-Person

Compensation: $105,000 – $135,000 + benefits

About the Role

We are a high-touch IT consulting firm that solves complex infrastructure problems for business clients across DFW.

We are not a traditional MSP:

• No product reselling
• No ticket-churn model
• Clients pay for expertise and outcomes

We are hiring an Infrastructure Engineer with strong AWS and SQL Server production experience who can take ownership of environments, lead technical problem solving, and work directly with client stakeholders.

• Administer and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, S2S VPN)
• Own SQL Server performance, backup, and recovery strategy
• Support Windows Server & Active Directory environments
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues
• Design, implement, and support production solutions
• Work directly with vendors and hold them accountable
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

You must have real, hands-on responsibility in:

• AWS infrastructure administration
• SQL Server administration
• Windows Server / Active Directory
• Power Shell for automation
• Server lifecycle management (patching, backups, virtualization)
• Firewall and VPN troubleshooting
• DNS / DHCP
• Advanced networking concepts (VLANs, routing, IPsec)

• AWS architecture & migrations
• Performance tuning and major incident response
• Hypervisor administration
• Consulting or multi-client environments
• Fortinet or similar firewalls

• Hybrid – must be willing to work on-site in Bedford
• This is not a fully remote role
• Small, senior team with high autonomy
