Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Seasonal Painter for a temporary position to support a facility improvement project at our long-term care center. The painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for residents and staff while completing assigned areas on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare walls, ceilings, doors, and trim by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming surfaces
Apply paint, stain, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
Protect furniture, floors, and equipment with drop cloths and coverings
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following infection control and safety protocols
Work around residents and staff with minimal disruption and professionalism
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
Assist with minor repairs such as filling cracks, caulking, and light drywall touch-ups
Follow project timelines and communicate progress to supervisor
Qualifications:
Previous painting or maintenance experience preferred
Ability to work in a healthcare or long-term care environment respectfully and safely
Basic knowledge of painting tools, materials, and safety practices
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
Schedule & Duration:
Temporary/seasonal role for the duration of the current project (dates flexible based on project needs)
Daytime hours preferred; occasional flexibility may be required
