Overview
Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your technical skills and compassion for animals make a true impact? Join our dedicated urgent care team as a Veterinary Technician
, where you'll play a critical role in patient care, client communication, and life-saving support.
- Safely restrain animals using low-stress handling techniques
- Triage and assess incoming patients to prioritize care
- Collect and analyze laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin, etc.)
- Perform diagnostic imaging and accurately capture radiographs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical prep, procedures, and recovery
- Provide high-quality nursing care to stable and critical patients
- Accurately document patient histories and interpret medical records
- Communicate treatment plans clearly and compassionately to clients
We’re looking for:
- Minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician experience (required)
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends (required)
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a collaborative attitude
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Solid understanding of preventative care, hospital workflow, and surgical procedures
- Competence in sample collection, lab test processing, radiograph positioning, and anesthetic monitoring
- The ability to accept and act on constructive feedback to support hospital efficiency
- A self-starter mentality with a commitment to continued learning and professional development
