Overview
The Dartmouth Health Manchester-Bedford Obstetrics, Gynecology & Nurse-midwifery team is seeking a Certified Nurse-midwife (CNM) to join a busy practice with eight board‑eligible OB/GYN physicians, certified nurse‑midwives, two women’s health nurse practitioners and one physician's assistant with a supportive administration team. Our midwives are highly respected and the midwifery model of care is at the center of the way we deliver healthcare.
This is a full‑time, full‑scope midwifery position, averaging 36 clinical hours per week divided between the office and hospital setting. Our collaborative practice model involves working 12‑hour shifts with our physician colleagues, while providing inpatient care. In the outpatient setting, our midwives provide pregnancy and postpartum care, gynecologic healthcare including preconception care, family planning services, sexual and reproductive healthcare. Our midwives also assist with the education of second‑year obstetric residents from Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and precepting of nurse‑midwifery students.

Licensure/Certification Skills
- Certified Nurse Midwife licensed to practice in the State of New Hampshire
- Board certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- Federal DEA
- Cesarean First Assist (training provided if needed)
- Abide by the Dartmouth‑Hitchcock Bylaws for the Professional Staff and Code of Conduct.
- Obtain comprehensive or focused history and perform physical exam.
- Determine and order appropriate screening and diagnostic tests and studies.
- Obtain informed consent for treatment diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and studies.
- Interpret and evaluate test and study results.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on relevant findings.
- Prescribe medications, treatments and medical devices within specialty scope of practice and applicable rules and regulations.
- Initiate referrals to other providers as necessary.
- Initiate admission/discharge of patients (APPs do not have admitting privileges).
- Provide consultation to patients within specialty scope of practice.
- Complete appropriate documentation.
