Overview

Responsibilities- Follow program schedule and daily duties as outlined by team and program manager
- Consistently implement resident programming training (Service Agreement Goals & Objectives: daily living skills)
- Meet all Residential Standards and Regulations as required by the Division of Mental Health and Developmental Services and/or Moore Center Services, Inc.
- Maintain appropriate record keeping, report writing, and timely/accurate documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients, clinical supervisory team, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless translation of knowledge
- Assist individuals in Activities of Daily Living, including providing personal care and ensuring appropriate attire is worn; encourage self-advocacy for independence
- Ensure general health and safety of clients and all environments as assigned daily
- Supervise residents’ self-administration and/or the distribution and administration of prescribed medications
- Complete behavior management training programs prior to working with specific residents; implement and document interventions as indicated in programs
- Attend ongoing training and meetings as required
- Implement behavioral interventions as guided by written and Human Rights Committee (HRC) approved behavior and risk management plans
- Supervise residents’ medical/evaluative appointments and accompany them to such appointments
- Provide transportation for residents in vehicles approved by the Agency
- Remain on shift until adequate coverage is provided as determined by the house manager or shift leader
- Aid in the general upkeep of residence, furnishings, and equipment
- Adhere to NH state law requiring mandated reporting of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job DetailsJob Type: Part Time
- Friday 3pm-7pm
- Saturday 11pm-7am
Pay: $19.00
Application Question- Do you have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and a reliable vehicle?
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) plus minimum of 1 year experience in human services required; 3 years’ experience preferred
- Automobile Liability Insurance: $100,000/300,000
- Valid driver’s license and access to a safe operating vehicle during scheduled working hours
- Criminal, motor vehicle, and Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services background checks that meet agency standards
- Required state training through Relias Learning or equivalent preferred
- Completion of Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) training part 1 and part 2
- It is considered a bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ) for direct support staff to accompany clients to religious ceremonies as dictated by the clients’ personal religious preferences
- Demonstrate a commitment to the Moore Center’s values
- Comply with all state, agency and department policies and procedures
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills with clients and staff
- Maintain a positive attitude and use positive language when working with individuals and team members
- Ability to individualize supports for the individuals we serve
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, or in a group setting to enhance skills and quality of life
- Provide personal care and behavioral support, including physical assistance
- Maintain professional demeanor in emotionally charged situations
- Ability to write detailed accounts of incidents and behaviors
- Ability to successfully complete medication training if applicable
- Demonstrates scheduling flexibility and adaptability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to master new software
